Monument Valley & Slot Canyons Photography Workshop

Embark on a multi-day photographic adventure through some of the most iconic landscapes of the American Southwest. This workshop explores towering sandstone monuments, sculpted hoodoos, winding slot canyons, and sweeping desert vistas—each offering unique opportunities for dramatic light, color, and composition.

Participants will photograph sunrise and sunset over Monument Valley, capturing the legendary Mittens in golden light, explore the surreal formations of the Toadstool Hoodoos, and venture into the glowing chambers of slot canyons known for their shifting beams and flowing sandstone textures. At Horseshoe Bend, we’ll shoot one of the region’s most breathtaking river viewpoints during sunset or blue hour.

Along the way, we stop at cinematic desert locations like Forrest Gump Point, with its perfect ribbon of road leading toward the towering mesas, as well as additional hidden or lesser-known sites chosen for their photographic potential.

The workshop blends iconic shots with creative instruction in composition, exposure, long-exposures, and capturing the desert’s dynamic light. Designed for all levels, it offers hands-on guidance, small-group flexibility, and unforgettable scenery—ideal for anyone wanting to expand their landscape photography portfolio in one of the world’s most striking regions.
